Glide turns spreadsheets and business data into apps: with GlideOS, launched in 2026, you describe the app to an AI agent, and Glide Classic keeps the original visual builder. Luna Park builds full-stack web apps visually, with logic you can read and edit, compiled to Vue and Node.js code.

- **Direct editing.** Edit components, graphs, and routes yourself.
- **Your code.** Download the full app as Vue and Node.js.
- **Every platform.** Web, PWA, desktop, Android, and iOS from one project.

## At a glance

Both turn data into apps. The main differences: how you edit, code export, and platforms.

| | Luna Park | Glide |
|---|---|---|
| **How you build** | Visual editor, with an AI assistant | Conversation with an AI agent (GlideOS) ([source](https://www.glideapps.com/docs/os/what-is-glide-os)) |
| **Data** | PostgreSQL, part of the project | Postgres per project, spreadsheets, 1,000+ integrations ([source](https://www.glideapps.com/docs/os/data)) |
| **Editing without AI** | [+Visually] | [~Through the agent] |
| **Code export** | [+Vue + Node.js source] (Pro) | [-No] |
| **Hosting** | [+Anywhere] Managed hosting in late 2026 | [-Glide only] |
| **Pricing** | Free, or Pro at €25/month or €300 once | Plans by AI credits and published apps ([source](https://www.glideapps.com/pricing)) |

## Example: a waitlist form

Visitors enter their name, email, and favorite ride, and get a ticket number.

::: columns
### Luna Park

1. Place the fields and a button, or ask Sidekick.
2. On click, a graph sends the fields to a backend route and shows the ticket.
3. The route inserts a row in the `Waitlist` table and returns its id.

---

### Glide

1. Describe the waitlist form to the Glide agent.
2. Review the mockup and click "Build it".
3. Refine it in the chat, with the live preview.
4. Publish the app.

## Code export

Glide apps run on Glide; code visibility is on its roadmap. Luna Park compiles every project to plain Vue and Node.js, which you download with Pro.

## Other differences

- **Control.** In GlideOS, you change the app through the agent. In Luna Park, [components](/docs/interface/components), [graphs](/docs/visual-scripting/introduction), and [routes](/docs/backend-data/routes) are visual and editable, with or without AI.
- **AI costs.** Glide plans are priced by AI credits. Luna Park uses your own key, a local model, or your coding agent through [MCP](/docs/integrations/ai-agents).
- **Platforms.** One Luna Park project exports web, PWA, and native apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

## Which one to choose?

::: columns
### Luna Park

- You want to edit your app directly, not only through an agent.
- You want to keep the code.
- You are building a product for customers.

---

### Glide

- Your business runs on spreadsheets.
- You want internal or field apps fast, without building.
- You need many SaaS integrations.
:::

## Before switching

- Sidekick needs [your own API key or a local model](/docs/workspace/sidekick#connect-an-ai).
- Until [managed hosting](/pricing) launches in late 2026, you [host the backend](/docs/deployment/deployment).
