Glide turns spreadsheets and business data into apps: with GlideOS, launched in 2026, you describe the app to an AI agent, and Glide Classic keeps the original visual builder. Luna Park builds full-stack web apps visually, with logic you can read and edit, compiled to Vue and Node.js code.

At a glance
Both turn data into apps. The main differences: how you edit, code export, and platforms.

Example: a waitlist form
Visitors enter their name, email, and favorite ride, and get a ticket number.
Luna Park
- Place the fields and a button, or ask Sidekick.
- On click, a graph sends the fields to a backend route and shows the ticket.
- The route inserts a row in the
Waitlisttable and returns its id.
Glide
- Describe the waitlist form to the Glide agent.
- Review the mockup and click "Build it".
- Refine it in the chat, with the live preview.
- Publish the app.

Code export
Glide apps run on Glide; code visibility is on its roadmap. Luna Park compiles every project to plain Vue and Node.js, which you download with Pro.

Other differences
- Control. In GlideOS, you change the app through the agent. In Luna Park, components, graphs, and routes are visual and editable, with or without AI.
- AI costs. Glide plans are priced by AI credits. Luna Park uses your own key, a local model, or your coding agent through MCP.
- Platforms. One Luna Park project exports web, PWA, and native apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
Which one to choose?
Luna Park
- You want to edit your app directly, not only through an agent.
- You want to keep the code.
- You are building a product for customers.
Glide
- Your business runs on spreadsheets.
- You want internal or field apps fast, without building.
- You need many SaaS integrations.
Before switching
- Sidekick needs your own API key or a local model.
- Until managed hosting launches in late 2026, you host the backend.
Based on Glide as of October 2026. See glideapps.com for current features and prices.
