Lovable alternative you can read and edit: Luna Park vs Lovable

Pricing
  • Readable logic
Every change the AI makes is a visual graph.
  • Your AI
Any provider, a local model, or your own agent.
  • Built to last
A fixed structure and types shared front and back.

Lovable generates an app from a conversation: the AI writes React code with a Supabase backend. Luna Park also builds with AI, but the result is visual logic you can read and edit without code, compiled to a Vue and Node.js application.

At a glance

Both build apps with AI. The main differences: what the AI produces, AI choice, and backend.

Example: a waitlist form

Visitors enter their name, email, and favorite ride, and get a ticket number.

Luna Park

  1. Ask Sidekick for the form, or build it yourself.
  2. The result is a graph: read the fields, call the route, show the ticket.
  3. Sidekick tests it by calling the route and clicking through the preview. Test data is rolled back.

Lovable

  1. Prompt: "add a waitlist form that saves to the database".
  2. The AI writes a React component, a Supabase table, and its policies.
  3. To change it, prompt again or edit the code.

Code export

Both give you the code. Luna Park compiles the visual project to Vue and Node.js, so you can keep working visually or take the code.

Other differences

  • Understanding the app. With Lovable, fixing a bug means reading generated code or prompting again. In Luna Park, components, graphs, routes, and tables are visual, and the app map shows how they connect.
  • AI costs. Lovable spends credits on each message. Luna Park uses your own key, a local model in the desktop app, or your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor...) through MCP. Editing without AI is free.
  • Data access. Supabase is often queried from the browser, with rules in database policies. Luna Park routes run next to PostgreSQL, behind guards.
  • Structure. Projects keep a fixed file structure and types shared by frontend and backend.

Which one to choose?

Luna Park

  • You want to understand and fix your app yourself.
  • You want to choose your AI.
  • Your project will outgrow a prototype.

Lovable

  • You want the AI to write a React code base for you.
  • You are comfortable maintaining React code.

Before switching

Based on Lovable as of October 2026. See lovable.dev for current features and prices.
